Complete Burg Fox (SOLD) by PrimusGod Complete Burg Fox (SOLD) by PrimusGod
For sale/trade SOLD a complete male burgundy fox pelt. It is not mountable. Eyeholes aren't enlarged. Leather is soft and stretchy. No discernible holes. Tail seems to be a bit weak, so I wouldn't suggest pulling on it too hard. Has all claws, jaw, ears, etc. Has a white toe on left hind paw. Small bare spot on base of tail.

Would like to trade for a pearl fox, a blue fox, or a silver fox of equal condition, or will sell it for $180 free shipping; USA ONLY.

I.wish.this.was.mountable. ;-;

So what are the problems with him, is it the face, ears, or etc?

I'm not giving him away because of any issues he has, lol, I've just got too many burgundies and he's one of the newest ones I got, so there isn't enough time to get attached to it.

Face wise, the only thing wrong is that there isn't enough lip to mount there. Other than that, he has his jaw and the eyes aren't enlarged. Ears have cartilage in them, and there is a small ring of fur missing from the base of his tail, but I noticed that on most of the foxes I got from my breeder recently. It's not too noticeable, and the tail is fine in quality aside from that.

Only one paw is a bit funky, sta.sh/017b8wr6yooq but it's really only noticeable if you force the toes apart.

That's about it as far as flaws go... Nothing wrong with the fur and it's a nice ranched fox.

Oh, I understand that. I'm that way, but with silvers. ;-;

He is beautiful, I love the colors(and I am not a fan of burgundies). I have a replacement face and ears, so that is why I was asking.

Hmm, I bet the feet could be fixed if they were clayed, but as you said it's not really noticeable.. I have had those issues in the past.

It really is! I agree completely. His fur seems to be just so plush. Very nice quality!

Oh, can it be rehydrated?

It most likely can be hydrated. I don't hydrate pelts myself, but there isn't any cracking in the leather, and the leather feels soft and stretchable.

Is this fox suitable for a skullfox soft mount?
(Complete ears, good paws, decent leather other than the face?)

It does have nice leather and complete ears, though there is cartilage blocking the hole...

Three paws are fine, the fourth one has been split a bit, but it's not damaged beyond repair, in my opinion. It could also just be left alone, too since it's holding its shape pretty well.

I will say one of the legs feels like its been sewn back on, based on the direction one of the paws are facing, but I can't tell because the fur is too thick on the legs. It could also just have been a natural deformity for the fox. You wouldn't be able to tell from any normal view, though. sta.sh/017b8wr6yooq

There's also a bare patch at the base of the tail, and I usually've seen that on a lot of the pelts I got from my breeder a while back. The tail itself could be weak; however, I haven't tried pulling on it at all, and it doesn't feel like it has the give that weak leathered-tails have.

Other than that, I feel it'd be a nice contender for a skullfox. It's a shame that you'd be wiping out its face, because aside from lips, the eyes aren't enlarged...

If you find it's not able to become a skull fox, I could always refund you granted you ship it back to me.

It wouldn't be for me, it would be for a customer. I won't make it into one if you don't want me too. Some people don't appreciate skullfoxes so I won't do it if you don't want me to do it.
